Strategic leadership opportunity in fundraising, marketing, and supporter engagement.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and visionary Supporter Experience and Engagement Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team. This role oversees the strategic development and delivery of fundraising, marketing, and communications initiatives to grow Bible mission impact in Aotearoa and around the world. As the leader of a multi-disciplinary team, you will develop and implement integrated engagement strategies to strengthen supporter relationships, expand funding streams, and drive public awareness of BSNZ’s mission.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have senior-level experience in fundraising, marketing, or supporter engagement
- Be a collaborative leader, able to manage and inspire a creative, purpose-driven team
- Understand how to build brand, deliver campaigns, and analyse impact
- Be confident in stakeholder engagement, from donors to media representatives
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to deliver results across multiple channels
- Have experience working with digital platforms and CRM systems
- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field is essential
- Be passionate about Bible mission and aligned with BSNZ’s Christian ethos and values

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) salaried position based at Bible Society’s head office in Wiri, Auckland. Please note that this is an office-based position, and remote work is not available.

Bible Society and Manna Christian Stores are New Zealand’s premier providers of Bibles, Christian books, and Bible engagement programs. We serve all Christian churches and provide financial support to Bible projects through our Global Bible Society Fellowship. We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Fundraising Specialist to join our Membership and Support Services team. In this role, you will develop and deliver fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and engagement strategies that help sustainably fund Bible mission initiatives across New Zealand and globally.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience in fundraising and marketing with a strong understanding of direct marketing principles
- Be a compelling writer and communicator, and confident developing engaging donor appeals and campaigns
- Understand how to analyse donor behaviour and apply segmentation strategies
- Be familiar with CRM and fundraising technologies
- Have a strategic mindset and the ability to evaluate and improve campaign performance
- Be passionate about Bible mission and align with BSNZ’s Christian ethos and values
- Knowledge of bequest and trust fundraising, along with digital-first fundraising approaches, would be an advantage
